Hot Off the Press!

After some technical hurdles, I'm pleased with the outcome of two of my featured items in my Etsy shop. Stay tuned for more additions. In the meantime, here is a closer look at my featured items.

We all know we used to love to blow on daffodils when we were kids and make a wish. I thought this would be a cute concept incorporating nature of course and a wish come true.

Don't you always wonder where they are flocking to and how they stay so close together and form such beautiful patterns? I always feel at peace when I watch birds flying in unison.

Gift for baby

When a friend of mine announced that she was pregnant, I was SO happy! I immediately thought of all of the cute little baby clothes he would wear. I almost even smelled the baby powder! So when I found out where she was registered, I bought her a gift on her wish list of course. I also wanted to give her a little something extra that had a personal touch. I noticed on her registry that the baby bedding motif was in a brown color. I was inspired to make a little baby pillow for the crib. I decided to use a linen fabric with something written in brown embroidery thread. I also tacked onto it a cute little "made with love" onesie to add to his wardrobe collection.

I really enjoyed this project and feel it would be a great gift idea for anyone! Let me know what you think.

Grand Opening!

I'm happy to announce that I've opened my screen printing shop in my studio space. I've got a one color screen printing press to create eco-friendly designs for baby on 100% organic cotton. The inks I use are water-based inks so there are no toxic chemicals harmful to baby. My inspiration comes from nature and I want to translate that into designs for babies that are unique and cute. Show the world that your child is environmentally aware, and that you are too!

Here are some photos from my first run. More to come!!!

In with Pins!

Lately I've been inspired to make some stylish pins. They were fairly easy once I figured out the process. I had some fun vintage fabric already and picked up different color felt from the local craft store as well as some different buttons. These pins make a great looking companion with your favorite tote bag or your most comfortable cardigan or jacket.

I also decided to turn one into a cute little "tweet tweet" onesie with some additional embroidery. I think I know just the friend to give it to when she has her baby! Stay tuned for some more...

Veggie vs. Fruit

Whether you enjoy chomping down on a shiny green apple rather than slicing a red ripe tomato, you will find this fruit and veggie duo to be quite dynamic! I've discovered the lovely craft of embroidery and just how simple it can be to learn. I got this pattern from Sublime Stitching and decided to make a cute onesie for a friend.

This quick and easy project reminded me just how much I enjoy working with my hands, it was quite therapeutic. In the meantime, I was able to catch up on the latest episode of Entourage. You can't beat that! After a little coaxing, Charlie Barber found time in his busy schedule to do a model shot for us. Thank you Charlie!
